War of Independence Tours are organised by Tipperary in the Decade of Revolution. We regularly organise tours of sites and locations associated with the War of Independence and Civil War. Tours can also be arranged and tailored to the needs of small groups or societies. Groups are also welcome to bring their own bus/minibus and we will provide the experienced guides. Our prices are extremely keen and as we are a non-profit grouping all revenues generated go to subsidise the work of promoting and sharing the history of the Premier county. Enquiries;

Our next tour – which we are glad to say is SOLD OUT – takes place on Monday next 21 January. The tour which covers points of interest in Mid-Tipperary associated with the War of Independence, particularly the events at Soloheadbeg. The aim is to be at the ambush site at lunchtime Monday – the exact time the engagement took place 100 years ago. JF
