Sean Hogan, best selling author of The Black and Tans in Tipperary and member of Tipperary in the Decade of Revolution is one of the speakers at this weekend’s commemorative conference Soloheadbeg Ambush – Impact and Legacy. Sean’s presentation will deal with the 1918 Election and the media coverage and propaganda which surrounded it. Other speakers include Dr Noreen Higgins, Dr Denis G Marnane, and Jim Herlihy. The keynote address will be given by Dr Martin Mansergh. The one day conference takes place in the Ballykisteen Hotel on Sat. 19 January, commencing at 9.30 AM. JF
